Ronja decided to apply for a summer job at Anora thanks to a tip from her friend who had already worked at the Rajamäki factory for several summers and had enjoyed the experience. Working at the alcoholic beverage plant also supported Ronja's studies in process engineering: "A summer spent at the bottling plant felt like the perfect fit."

During the summer, Ronja mainly worked as an operator of the R4 production line labelling machine. "I got a great instructor right from the start who we went through everything carefully but wasn’t afraid to challenges me and encourage me to figure things out on my own," says Ronja. At the R4 production line labelling machine operators work in pairs or with an inspector, which allowed Ronja to get to know many colleagues during the summer, both seasonal and permanent employees at Anora.

For Ronja, the most meaningful part of the job was working with the machines: "It's been really interesting to see how big an effect even small adjustments have on the whole, and tending to and adjusting the machines has even made me consider a change of field from processes to mechanical engineering," Ronja says.

Handling various disruptions brought challenges to the job, though these incidents were also the most instructive. "It's been a pleasure to learn to work and solve problems under some pressure, and I believe that these experiences will definitely prove to be useful in the future." Ronja was also able to develop her cooperation and communication skills during the summer.

The most fun part about work were co-workers. "No question about it: Anora has such a great team that even if it's been a disastrous day, I always leave work with a smile on my face."

Ronja considers Anora the best of her summer jobs so far. "The general atmosphere is really good and friendly, and you can ask anyone for help. Based on my own experience, employees’ opinions count, and management is approachable. Of course, the implementation of some improvement proposals takes longer, but at least they are put on the to-do list."
