Kasper Mütze Balle's path in the world of wine started long before Anora in Copenhagen, back in '95. "I've been in the wine industry since my school days, wine's been my life," he says.

Through the years, Kasper has seen many sides of our industry. He joined Globus Wine in 2015 and has been working with the company since, watching the wines arrive to ensure quality and that the wine is just right for the market. "Every week, there would be tastings and meetings. I got to know what works for our consumers here in Denmark," he shares.

There have been a few bigger changes during the time Kasper has worked in the company. Changes in systems and new colleagues have been necessary to maintain the company's growth pace. Kasper was the first person to oversee the creation of a new way of handling wine sourcing. "It was a big learning curve," Kasper remarks. "Globus' new CEO needed more structure and so I had to create a new sourcing strategy."

As the Sourcing Manager for Anora’s own wines, Kasper looks after sourcing wine from places like Italy and the U.S. all the way to Argentina and Chile. He is part of a small team that makes sure Anora gets the best wines for the best prices. "Seeing how different it is to work in places like Sweden and Finland compared to Danish customers, what the differences are between the monopoly markets and free market in Denmark is really interesting. Constantly learning about the way our markets work helps me do a better job," he notes.

According to Kasper, the best part of his job is getting to work with people from all over and helping Anora grow in the Nordics. "From coming up with new wine ideas and picking up trends, to working towards the final product and getting it out there – I'm in it every step of the way".

Kasper believes in Anora's potential. “Customers consider Anora's size a benefit and that helps with creating the best conditions for the job. Looking ahead, I can't wait to see us reaching the top. Working together as a team, we're on our way to success," he asserts.

At the core of his work, Kasper lives by the Anora value of Courage to explore, always chasing new ideas and pushing boundaries. Whether it's traveling to wine fairs or diving into new trends, he's all about finding the next big thing for the company.

Working with wine isn’t just a job; it’s more about who he is. "Wine isn’t just work for me, it's my hobby and a thing I do in my free time. I'm lucky to make a living doing what I love, and I feel right at home doing just that," he says with a smile.

From his early days delivering wine to today, Kasper's commitment to his role – and to wine itself – remains strong. It’s a passion turned profession and a belief in the values that make Anora stand out in the wine industry.
